The Classical Method

Joseph Pilates, a physical therapy pioneer, invented an exercise regime originally named Controllogy.
It is now practised the world over and better known as Pilates.

Classical Pilates is the ‘pure’ work from the original exercises that Joseph Pilates invented

Joseph Pilates travelled to the the United States from Germany in 1925. He and his wife Clara opened a studio in New York, where he taught Pilates to students until the 1960s. When Joseph Pilates died, the studio and his work were passed over to his wife Clara, and his and main protégé Romana Kryzanowskato to continue his legacy.

I hold a Post-graduate Pregnancy and Postnatal qualification under Rachel Rafiefar ‘Mamma’s Pillates’ Including membership of The Guild of Pregnancy and Postnatal instructors.

I offer pregnancy and postnatal Private sessions or small classes to groups of friends on their pregnancy journey.

These are based on classical Pilates techniques and adapted to each stage of the pregnancy trimesters including postnatal.
